Sachin Sarwa’s Holymont Udaipur is Choosing to Build, Not Blend in Udaipur’s Luxury Landscape

Hailing from Rajasthan, Sachin Sarwa comes from a family that has deep roots in agriculture. A graduate in Hotel Business from NUS Singapore in 2012, he built on that first-generation base to grow into hospitality and organised real estate.

Sachin began his career as a hotelier with a clear plan to create something of his own. That vision took shape in 2016, leading to the foundation of Holymont Udaipur in 2019, which came to life in November 2024. Sachin shares,

“Seeing it come to life in November 2024 was a defining milestone. Today, we operate two hotels known for their scale, design, and experience-led luxury, supported by a strong leadership team. Holymont Udaipur reflects our philosophy of modern luxury rooted in the cultural essence of Udaipur.”

Looking ahead, Sachin is focused on expanding into multiple properties and building a trusted brand known for quality, consistency, and memorable experiences.

The Gap in the Market

Sachin’s inspiration came from personal ambition and direct industry observation. Through travel and hands-on exposure, he noticed a clear gap in the region for truly premium, innovative hospitality experiences, and that gap became more visible as he compared it with global benchmarks and industry standards. He reveals,

“At the same time, I’ve always had a strong inner drive to create something of my own, something that reflects my vision rather than operating within predefined boundaries. That clarity, backed by experience and conviction, pushed me to take a decisive step forward. I didn’t just want to participate in the industry; I wanted to build a brand that could stand shoulder to shoulder with the best.”

The USP

What sets Holymont Udaipur apart is its scale, design, and service-led hospitality. The property has been built as a reimagined landscape with architects and designers shaping an immersive setting, while the rooms, ballroom, and event spaces are designed to stand out in the region.  Sachin adds,

A key highlight is our grand ballroom, among the largest in the area, along with multiple venues catering to a wide range of events and celebrations.”

A major differentiator is the in-house waterfall and the large green cover, with around 600 species of plants and more than 20,000 plants adding to the experience.

Alongside this, the food and beverage offering is positioned around quality and luxury, while the team focuses on long-term relationships and consistent service rather than one-time stays.

The Journey

Sachin shares that every phase of the journey came with its own challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted execution timelines, rising costs put pressure on financial planning, evolving regulations required constant adaptation, and building a strong team without the backing of an established brand was a challenge in itself. Knowing how to navigate these challenges took time and experience. He highlights,

We addressed these hurdles through restructured planning, strategic cost optimization, and by building the right network. Over time, we were able to attract the right talent by fostering a healthy, employee-centric work culture and offering clear long-term growth opportunities. Consistency, resilience, and patience have been key in navigating these challenges and driving the business forward.”

Even though there were times when the entrepreneurial path was challenging, the journey has also been rewarding. Today, Sachiin measures his achievements with the trust of his guests, repeat visits, and strong brand recognition. Sachin further says,

“In terms of achievements, we have reached our targeted business volumes and established a strong market presence, made possible by the continued support of our guests, partners, and well-wishers.”

The strength and alignment of the team at Holymont Udaipur have also been an important part of that progress.

Moving Ahead

Sachin’s plans for the next few years are focused on expanding into new areas while staying rooted in hospitality.

The aim is to enter the education space and build a platform that trains young talent for the industry, from freshers to future leaders, with a focus on excellence, adaptability, and the human touch that defines good hospitality.

There is also a clear interest in developing refined hospitality experiences along highway corridors, where quality and structure are still needed. Alongside this, the plan is to create a seamless, tech-enabled event ecosystem supported by strong execution and a focused talent base.
