Mahanth Mallikarjuna Is Building Mergen into a Future-Ready Tech Powerhouse

Mahanth Mallikarjuna is an IT leader with over 15 years of experience, known for combining technical depth with a hands-on, business-first approach.

As the Founder and CEO of Mergen Corporates Pvt. Ltd., Mahanth Mallikarjuna focuses on building intelligent platforms that help companies move faster, use data more effectively, and scale efficiently. His experience lies in private lending, financial services, insurance, recruitment, and real estate domains, giving him a broad view of how technology supports different kinds of businesses.

What stands out about him is the way he translates complex systems into practical business value.

The tools and platforms Mahanth has worked with include Informatica, Alteryx, Snowflake, data warehousing systems, and online transaction processing, and colleagues describe him as someone who understands both operations and infrastructure deeply.

During his time at TMX Finance, he was known as the person teams turned to across departments, and he brings the same leadership to Mergen today. His membership in the Forbes Technology Council and his master’s in computer science from Arkansas State University add to that foundation.

Beyond his professional work, Mahanth is actively involved in philanthropic initiatives through the Mallikarjuna Foundation, contributing to community-focused CSR efforts. He is also an active investor in multiple startups and dedicates time to mentoring budding entrepreneurs, supporting the next generation of innovators.

Mergen

Mergen is a technology company focused on digital resilience and transformation, specialising in ServiceNow implementation, AI-driven workflow automation, and cloud-native development, with the aim of helping businesses scale securely and efficiently through intelligent systems. The vision is not only to provide services, but also to help organisations build stronger and more adaptable operating models. Reflecting on their core values, Mahanth reveals,

“At Mergen, we believe in the power of technology to change the world. Our diverse community of talented staff works jointly to drive impactful transformations, leveraging technology to create a better future for our clients and society as a whole.”

The Inspiration

The inspiration came from the gap he saw between traditional business operations and the pace of technological change. He explains,

“I saw brilliant businesses struggling with legacy systems that acted like anchors, holding them back from their true potential. I started Mergen to change that narrative. We began as a lean, mission-driven team focused on solving complex migration challenges that larger firms overlooked, proving that with the right strategy, any organization can become a tech-first powerhouse.”

Mergen was built to be a ServiceNow Managed Services Partner offering end-to-end platform support, including implementation, proactive management, custom development, continuous optimization, and strategic consulting.

Its ServiceNow work covers AIOps, ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, ITAM, CSM, GRC, and SecOps, while its Salesforce services span Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Experience Cloud, Customer 360, Einstein, Revenue Cloud, Health Cloud, Service Cloud, and Communication Cloud.

The company also provides cloud and IT infrastructure services across Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform, along with staffing and recruitment support for IT and related roles.

A Competitive Edge

What sets Mergen IT apart is its integrated and business-aligned delivery approach. Instead of offering plug-and-play solutions, the company embeds itself in the client’s vision and builds technology that aligns with the way the business actually works.

Through Mergen Global, the company is also expanding its focus on GCC enablement for enterprises building long-term capability centers in India and other strategic markets. Beyond traditional GCC setup support, Mergen is integrating AI-driven operational frameworks, digital workflow governance, automation-led service delivery models, and enterprise platform engineering into GCC ecosystems. The objective is not just to help organizations establish delivery centers, but to build digitally mature, scalable, and intelligence-enabled GCC environments capable of supporting long-term transformation initiatives.

The Mergen philosophy is to align technology with the way the client operates, not force the client to adapt to a rigid system. Its agility is another differentiator, allowing the team to pivot quickly and implement the latest advances in AI and automation without losing focus on business needs.

The Journey

One of the biggest challenges was building credibility in a market dominated by legacy players. The main hurdle was the trust gap, convincing global enterprises to entrust a growing firm with their most sensitive data. He explains,

“We overcame this through radical transparency and relentless execution. We didn’t just tell them we were better; we showed them through small, high-impact wins that eventually turned into long-term strategic partnerships.”

Even though there were times of toil and trouble, the journey has also been rewarding.

“I measure success by the ‘invisible impact,’ when our clients stop worrying about their IT and start focusing on their next big idea.”

Mergen’s key milestones include successfully managing large-scale digital overhauls for global partners and building a reputation as a trusted name in high-security cloud environments. For the team, the real achievement is when clients can scale their operations without disruption and focus on business growth instead of IT issues.

Mergen has also marked several other key achievements, including becoming an official Microsoft AI Cloud Partner and presenting its work at the ServiceNow World Forum Dallas 2023. It received the Technology Excellence Award 2023 at WTITC, participated in Elevate Expo 2023 and the Sustainable World Conclave, and was featured in Global Eye Magazine for its insights on digital resilience. The company’s leadership was further recognised with Mahanth’s induction into the Forbes Technology Council, alongside strategic partnerships with OpenBots and ServiceNow. Mahanth further adds,

“Our commitment to client success is at the heart of everything we do. By understanding their unique challenges and objectives, we become trusted partners in their journey, working alongside them to overcome operational challenges, improve performance, & create long-term value.”

Mergen’s success stories span banking, healthcare, retail, logistics, insurance, telecom, oil and gas, manufacturing, and professional services. Across these projects, the company has improved incident management, streamlined service delivery and IT operations, optimized supply chains, strengthened customer service, modernized cloud and BI/data warehousing systems, enabled telehealth, and supported large-scale ServiceNow, Azure, AWS, and digital transformation initiatives.

Plans Ahead

Mergen’s roadmap over the next few years will focus on the convergence of AI and human ingenuity. The company is expanding from infrastructure services into intelligent automation and AI-driven operational systems, with the goal of becoming the preferred partner for businesses stepping into the autonomous era.

To support that shift, Mergen Group is increasing investment in R&D and expanding its footprint across Australia and the Asia-Pacific regions, with an eye on helping a new generation of digital-native enterprises scale more intelligently. Mahanth also asserts,

“We embrace continuous improvement as the catalyst for growth and innovation. Our team is dedicated to seeking out new knowledge, refining our skills, and exploring emerging technologies.”

With a head full of dreams for the future, Mahanth leaves a note for budding entrepreneurs. He highlights,

“The biggest lesson I’ve learned over the years is that persistence outweighs perfection. If your plan feels 100% safe, it’s probably already outdated. I believe it is crucial to focus on solving a real problem rather than chasing a trend. If you provide genuine value, the growth will follow. Don’t fear the challenges. Stay curious, stay hungry, and remember that technology should always serve the person, not the other way around.”
