With a primary aim of providing practical skills to children and empowering women, Pooja Sachin founded Robomations in 2015 after completing her Bachelor’s in Engineering, Electronics and Communication.
What’s unique about Robomations is that they are taking learning and education to the next level by teaching school students about Robotics, Electronics, Coding and Artificial Intelligence. They are also big believers in practical learning, and to facilitate that they help students create their own working models, web pages and applications.

An edtech company, Robomations focuses on STEM, robotics, AI, and programming. 90% of the lessons include practical instruction, which helps students grasp the ideas through real-life application.
The workshops and classes offered by Robomations are all geared toward teaching robotics and coding. The workshops introduce students to more complex ideas while also covering the fundamentals of robotics and coding. In the area of robotics and coding instruction, Robomations has established itself as a pioneer.
Journey till now
In a conversation with Entrepreneurs Today, Pooja reveals that growing up in an orthodox family, she did not get many opportunities to grow as a person. However, she has always known what she wanted from her life. So, despite the fact that Pooja lacked financial backing from her family and the resources to launch a business, her desire and zeal to achieve greatness kept her going.
Pooja was just a 22-year-old when she founded Robomations. She left home at around the same age as her parents disapproved of her doing business because they believed that a girl is supposed to get married and not have a career. But fortunately, she found a man who supported her career in the process and got away from such constraints. As she stands where she is today, she is immensely proud of how far she has made it and is now working towards opening up more employment opportunities for women. Not only that, she is encouraging them to stand against societal barriers and face their fears. And the best way to do it is to set an example for these women by being their trailblazer.
Pooja extends her gratitude to her husband who has been her pillar of support throughout her journey.
“Although society may not always back husbands who speak up for their wives, my husband’s support has allowed me to accomplish everything I have ever imagined.”
Lessons learned
Throughout her entrepreneurial journey, Pooja has learned numerous lessons, one of which is that when you start your own venture, you’ll receive unwarranted opinions from people who hold the view that a lack of capital and investment is a sign of failure. This could be very discouraging for entrepreneurs but it’s also important to realize early on that it’s your hard work and dedication that ensures success.
She further adds that it’s important to believe in your own dreams. She also encourages people to stay consistent and not stray from their path to achieving their dreams.
“As an entrepreneur, you are the boss and therefore you must stay self-disciplined and focused. Don’t let yourself be distracted”.
Pooja also says that it’s crucial that you reevaluate your inner circle and weed out those who aren’t delighted with your achievements. Having the right people around you can really make a difference, so be sure to choose your pals carefully.
Achievement and challenges
When asked about her achievements, Pooja shares that keeping the business afloat during the pandemic is one of their greatest accomplishments to date. Even during a time of uncertainty they were able to overcome their fear and developed a new business model. Due to the classes’ emphasis on practical application, Robomations not only persisted but also saw a growth in enrollment from 1000 students in the academic year 21–22 to more than 4,000 students in the academic year 22–23.
The hardest time for Pooja was when she left home with very little experience and knowledge of how the world operates, let alone understanding the business. However, she is glad that she overcame the obstacle and aced money-managing skills.
“I feel this is the time I stood for myself and never gave up or went back to my family. The initial stages were all about learning and avoiding mistakes. Initially, I faltered a lot but I made the right decision by pursuing my passion to teach students.”
She acknowledges that everything she went through has made her more patient, and now she is determined to take Robomations to the national and global level in the near future.
What holds in the future?
“I believe that knowledge should be available to all, regardless of financial status. I also believe that women should have the right to financial freedom and independence, regardless of their age.”
To transform her vision into something more tangible, Pooja is set out on a mission to provide the best possible education to her students and create as many jobs as possible for women.
Over the years, her efforts paid off and her vision became a reality. Using this as a stepping stone, she is looking forward to achieving much more in the near future.
