How Designoweb’s Proprietary Services are Transforming Digital Brand Experiences

“Execution beats ideas every single time.”

Based out of Noida, UP, Bhavik Agarwal, founder and Director of Designoweb Technologies, began his entrepreneurial journey during his university days at DIT University, Dehradun.

In a freewheeling chat with Entrepreneurs Today, Bhavik reflects on one of the major motivations as an entrepreneur. He shares,

“Unlike many of my peers in the tech space who had the advantage of studying at Tier-1 engineering colleges like IITs or NITs, I didn’t come from a prestigious academic background. DIT University, while a good institution, wasn’t a brand name that opened doors automatically. And I was aware of that from day one. But rather than letting that limit me, it became my biggest motivator.”

Bhavik kickstarted his journey by pulling all-nighters, designing, coding, building small apps, and learning new tech stacks. He took client calls across time zones from his hostel room and built websites for real customers. Those are the opportunities that taught him self‑reliance and adaptability.

After graduation, he joined Infosys Ltd. as an Open Source Developer to absorb corporate scale and process. Yet he never lost sight of his bigger dream. In 2018, he launched Designoweb Technologies with just a laptop and a vision. He adds,

“I took a calculated risk when I officially started Designoweb. The early days were chaotic. We had no office, no team. It was just me, a laptop, and a long list of responsibilities that included everything from sales, development, design, client communication, and invoicing.”

Today, Designoweb is a 150‑strong team serving clients in the US, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. The company delivers full‑stack development, mobile apps, web platforms, AI and ML solutions, AR and VR experiences, and enterprise digital transformations, investing heavily in AI-driven automation, IoT, and cross-platform solutions like Flutter and React Native. Bhavik’s in‑house product Reveal uses AR to create immersive brand experiences.

What’s inspiring about Bhavik is that not coming from a Tier‑1 college never held him back. Rather, it drove him to learn faster, hustle harder, and earn credibility through action. That same spirit remains at the heart of Designoweb.

Their vision today is to help companies solve real challenges with technology. And for him, there’s much to do, as his global tech company is only the beginning.

Huge Gap in Market

The need to build Designoweb came from a significant lack of digital solutions in the market. As Bhavik further explains,

“There was a huge demand for reliable, high-quality digital solutions at reasonable costs. Yet, many offshore service providers were either too rigid, lacked communication skills, or couldn’t deliver innovation-driven work.”

Today, Designoweb Technologies sets itself apart from the other competitors with its approach. Bhavik explains,

“Whether a startup wants to raise their next round of funding with an MVP, or a large enterprise wants to automate its internal processes, we approach every project as a strategic partner, not just a vendor. Our delivery model is deeply collaborative. Clients are involved at every sprint cycle, and we maintain radical transparency on timelines, budgets, and deliverables. This has helped build trust, especially with clients from geographies where offshore outsourcing is often viewed with skepticism.”

Troubled Waters

In the early days, Bhavik’s biggest hurdle was getting credibility for his name and venture. He had no fancy office or marquee clients to show. Initially, to earn trust, he decided to take smaller projects at near breakeven, using every solution to build a portfolio and gather testimonials.

Another challenge he faced as Designoweb grew was scaling the operations. He shares,

“Managing a team of 5 is very different from managing 50. I had to transition from being a developer-founder to becoming a business leader. Learning about HR processes, financial planning, and client relationship management didn’t come naturally to me. I learned it all the hard way, through mistakes and course corrections.”

In terms of getting clients, there were several other setbacks. Bhavik highlights how difficult it was to get clients. He shares,

“Getting the first few clients was the toughest. I relied heavily on Upwork and LinkedIn. Cold emails, late-night calls across time zones, and endless rejections became a routine. But slowly, as we delivered on projects with quality and speed, word-of-mouth and referrals started rolling in.”

The COVID‑19 pandemic tested him the most. It was a time when most projects came to a halt, payments were delayed, and there was a lot of uncertainty around work. Sleepless nights became the new normal, despite which Bhavik had to work out how to meet payroll and keep morale high. Even though it was a difficult time, he learned a lot about the value of strict financial planning, diversifying clients, and emotional resilience. Moreover, every time he faced a setback when pitching against the firms, he learned more about how he could refine his processes, raise delivery standards, and sharpen storytelling in proposals.

Celebrating Feats

“For me, success is multi-dimensional.”

One of the major milestones of Designoweb is that it has grown from a one‑person venture to a multi‑million‑dollar company, with around eighty percent of its work coming from repeat clients and referrals.

Moreover, Bhavik is extremely proud of expanding operations internationally, serving customers in the US, UK, UAE, and Australia, while building a team of over 150 specialists and earning recognition on Clutch, GoodFirms, 50Pros, and the 30 Under 30 list.

Another achievement is the launch of Reveal, an AR and VR platform used by brands such as Puma, and helping startups secure funding. He reveals,

“One of our startup clients went from idea to $1.5 million funding within a year, thanks in part to the MVP we built for them. There are now numerous stories like these.”

Despite all the milestones so far, Bhavik finds joy in things beyond metrics. He says,

“Success isn’t just about revenue charts or client logos on our portfolio. One of the things that brings me the greatest sense of fulfillment is witnessing the personal and professional growth of my team members. Watching someone who once joined us as a fresh graduate or a junior developer, nervous, full of questions, and just starting their journey, now confidently leading complex projects, managing client relationships, and mentoring others is incredibly rewarding.”

Looking Ahead

For the near future, Bhavik’s plans for his venture include scaling Reveal with computer vision features, analytics dashboards, and self‑service campaign tools so global brands can plug it in and go live. He also looks forward to expanding on‑ground presence in the US and Europe through small sales teams and partnerships, and opening new offices in Spain and Ireland by the end of 2025.

Other plans are to integrate AI‑driven solutions such as chatbots and recommendation engines, and process automation modules, so their software feels intelligent as well as functional. In the next few years down the line, Bhavik will also be forging strategic partnerships with accelerators, VC funds, and startup hubs so that they can become the go‑to tech partner for their portfolio companies.

The overall aim, as Bhavik says, is fostering a product‑thinking culture with hackathons, innovation labs, and internal learning programmes to sharpen the team’s creative edge.

The Takeaways

One of the lessons Bhavik has learned is that ideas alone mean nothing without showing up each day, facing rejections, and adapting to deliver results. He discovered that starting before you feel ready promotes learning more than waiting for perfect timing.

He also believes that treating every client engagement as if it were your biggest opportunity builds trust and drives referrals.

Lastly, some advice he wants to leave to the budding entrepreneurs is,

Your background doesn’t define your ceiling. Your mindset does. Coming from a non-IIT or IIM background, with no business background and no safety net, I built this company brick by brick. If I can do it, so can you. Just stay committed, stay curious, and stay humble.”
