Breaking Stereotypes: The Inspiring Journey of Entrepreneur Ronit Pise

“To stand out in this competitive environment, the most vital thing is to break all the rural village stereotypes that say people from lower middle-class families cannot reach the top as businessmen. Businesses are not meant for a particular class. The mission should be to educate and empower the youth of our rural villages in the country.”

In an interview with Entrepreneurs Today, Ronit Pise, founder of Profituni, Chanakya Uni and Ambrosian Research and Development,  shares what his journey has been like coming from a middle-class family. Let’s take a look.

About Ronit Pise

Hailing from a rural village in Pune and raised in a lower-middle-class family with an agricultural background, Ronit’s journey as an entrepreneur began at the very tender age of 17. In the initial days, he forayed into multiple sectors until he found his true calling as a stock market trader.

As one would expect, coming from a background such as his led him to face many challenges along his journey. Some of the challenges he had to break through to reach where he is today were financial hardships, conflicts with his traditionally-minded family, and societal pressures. Not only that, Ronit even encountered substantial losses and financial burdens, despite which he refused to give up on his dreams. Hence began his journey as a stock market investor and trader, which became a defining aspect of his success.

Subsequently, given the success, Ronit Pise eventually ventured into the entrepreneurial landscape by establishing a successful food and beverage startup. His endeavor thrived, expanding its footprint across Maharashtra, marking a significant accomplishment in the region’s F&B industry.

Pise was also able to secure the opportunity to represent Indian Railways across six states in India. He leveraged this experience to become a consulting partner with Indian Railways, demonstrating his versatility and acumen in fostering collaborations within the transportation sector.

Expanding his entrepreneurial portfolio, Pise ventured into the education technology sector, founding an EdTech company. Through this platform, he initiated comprehensive training programs aimed at educating individuals nationwide, specifically focusing on IT, and computer-related fields, and sharing his expertise in the stock market.

Achievements and challenges

Till now, Ronit has achieved numerous awards and has been featured in various publications and news channels. He has also made multiple appearances in TV shows along with his wife, Kartiki Kalyani Gaikwad, winner of Zee Marathi Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

Regarding the challenges he faced, he did not have the support of his entire family or the faith of society that even a rural-middle-class 17-year-old could take control of his destiny. However, despite the skepticism, he has made it so far and continues to inspire the youth today.

Moving forward

“There is much more to do, the journey is far from over.”

Considering everything that he has achieved till now, Ronit believes that his journey is far from over. His current aim is to prioritize the education and empowerment of rural youth in Maharashtra and beyond. Not only is he reaching out to rural villages, but he also urges everyone to do the same by giving back to society by taking a step towards bridging educational gaps and offering opportunities in regions often overlooked by conventional educational initiatives.
