The Founder Building India’s Next Wave of Purpose-Led Consumer Ventures

Harshwarrdhan Singh Vijan in Conversation with Entrepreneurs Today

“From nightlife to beauty tech to wildlife resorts, my ventures reflect a single belief that India deserves world-class brands built with authenticity, innovation, and purpose.”

Harshwarrdhan Singh, a 27-year-old entrepreneur, builds brands that aim to feel distinctly Indian and unmistakably modern.

A finance and communication graduate from Bryant University, Rhode Island, Harshwarrdhan is a third-generation entrepreneur who discovered his passion for business early. In 2016, while still a student, he ran nightlife events across Mumbai, Providence, and Boston, a venture born from the idea that people ‘pay a price to party.’ He reveals,

“Entrepreneurship runs in my blood. Growing up seeing my family build and scale businesses instilled in me an early desire to create something of my own. The spark came at 18 when I realised people were willing to pay for a good time, leading me to host my first nightlife event in Mumbai. That decision set the foundation for everything I would build later.”

After the pandemic, Harshwarrdhan shifted focus to consumer goods. Alongside his sister Arshia Kaur Vijan, he co-founded Tint Cosmetics. Today, Tint has its own factory, an R&D lab, in-house formulations, and a tech-driven ecosystem and has catered to over one lac customers.

His latest venture, Tuli Orchid, is a 19-acre eco-resort at Pench National Park that reflects another side of his sensibility, which likes things slow and purpose-driven, rooted in nature and sustainability.

The Gaps

What drives Harshwarrdhan is a mix of ambition and a practical fear of failure, which he says leads to motivation, not paralysis. That same urgency pushed him from running nightlife events into product, spotting gaps in India’s beauty market to offer personalised solutions where global brands fell short. Reflecting on that  learning loop, he says,

“Studying consumer behaviour deeply aligned my mission to build something groundbreaking. That vision eventually became Tint Labs, India’s first hyper-personalised beauty-tech experience, which is also an extension of my values to solve real problems, build for India, and do it with depth and personalisation.”

The Ventures

Harshwarrdhan has turned two distinct instincts into two very different businesses. One is a tech-first beauty company rewriting how Indians discover and buy makeup. The other is a low-key, high-intent eco-resort built around wildlife and slow hospitality.

Tint Cosmetics is a new-age, innovation-first beauty brand. He explains,

“Rather than pushing frequent, trend-driven launches, our philosophy is to understand consumers deeply and offer solutions that go beyond what they think they need.”

What makes Tint unique today is Tint Labs, a hyper-personalised, AI-driven beauty-tech experience that brings shade-matching, skin analysis, and on-demand product customisation to the consumer. For the first time at scale in India, a customer can create a single custom lip gloss or foundation, tested, matched, and manufactured to order.

The company is full-stack by design. With an in-house factory, proprietary formulations, and an R&D team, Tint is a manufacturing and a consumer first beauty tech platform.

Opened in November 2025, Tuli Orchid is a boutique, 19-acre eco-resort at Pench National Park designed for travellers who want proximity to wilderness and an immersive nature experience. The resort blends sustainable architecture, local craft, and mindful practices to create stays that feel rooted and restorative. Harshwarrdhan shares,

“Tuli Orchid reflects my passion for wildlife and hospitality, bringing together comfort, nature, and responsible travel in a way that feels both luxurious and grounded.”

Rocky Road

Building two businesses from scratch while bootstrapped forced Harshwarrdhan to learn fast and spend smarter. Competing with cosmetic giants, brands that launch 50 SKUs a year with ten times the marketing spend, was daunting.

He addressed the pressure with discipline and focus. “Ignore the noise. Focus on content, community, and quality” is what he believed. Instead of getting caught in the rat race, Tint launched 12 products, each built with research, R&D, and purpose. He further adds,

“It was the initial failures that taught us that staying rooted in our vision mattered more than matching the industry’s pace. This helped Tint carve its own distinct identity and helped me navigate challenges with clarity and confidence.”

The Wins

For Harshwarrdhan, success is tangible, and he measures it through authentic customer reviews and high repeat purchase rates that speak of the quality of the products. He highlights,

“Success also looks like a customer saying, ‘I saw your brand online, and I’d love to try it. These moments reaffirm our direction.”

So far, Tint Cosmetics has seen steady revenue growth and received immense love from consumers. Harshwarrdhan is also proud that the venture is 100% bootstrapped and that every growth milestone came from reinvested revenue. Looking back at the achievements, he shares,

“For me, success felt like starting my first resort or launching Tint Cosmetics & Tint Labs. But, earning genuine national-level consumer recognition is an achievement I value most.

A New Frontier

Harshwarrdhan’s roadmap for his ventures is ambitious. At Tint Cosmetics, his focus is on scaling Tint Labs across multiple Indian cities, deepening its personalisation technology, expanding manufacturing and R&D capacity, and building what he calls India’s most innovative beauty ecosystem for custom beauty to become accessible to every Indian consumer.

At Tuli Orchid, the plan is to develop a 100-room experiential wedding destination that melds luxury with sustainability, spaces for celebration that sit lightly on the landscape. He shares that the construction and design work are already underway for opening in early 2027.

Balancing both ventures means long days and making difficult choices, so with razor-sharp focus and strong teams in place, he’s positioning both businesses to scale without compromising on quality or purpose.

Words of Wisdom

Over the years, Harshwarrdhan has learned how crucial it is to have a clear vision, uncompromising health, and daily discipline. He emphasises having clarity in thought and visualising your goals; you can engineer the steps to get there.

Harshwarrdhan also believes that fitness isn’t a lifestyle perk. Better health means sharper thinking, higher output, and steadier nerves when the stakes rise. He also encourages people to focus on discipline over motivation. He adds that motivation is fleeting and that discipline compounds. Long-term progress comes from routines, not bursts of inspiration. Show up every day and let small, consistent actions add up.

As he signs off, he asserts,

“Entrepreneurship takes time and often tests your patience. Frustration is part of the journey. Channel that energy into razor-sharp focus, and it multiplies your chances of success. These principles guide me every day, and I hope they inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs to dream boldly and build relentlessly.”
