Harshita Adlakha and Content Foundry on Crafting Compelling Narratives in the Digital Age

“A video is the moving face of your brand, capturing more attention and driving top-of-mind awareness.”

Entrepreneurs Today reached out to Harshita Adlakha, a MICA graduate with seven years in the marketing arena, who founded Content Foundry to simplify businesses’ content strategies.

Specializing in impactful video campaigns, her venture aims to transform brand stories into compelling narratives that resonate and drive growth. Since its inception two years ago, Content Foundry has carved a niche by delivering innovative solutions tailored to elevate brands and exceed market expectations.

Looking back at how she ventured into her journey, she shares,

“At just 18, I took the plunge into this fascinating industry. I love my job and I hang out with a lot of ad-experts to draw inspiration from. I enjoy it to the core, helping businesses that want to escape their comfort zone and reach new heights.”

In terms of what the company does, Harshita says,

“We are your pocket content creator, delivering at your place of choice, within your budget, and at lightning speed”.

Interviewer: What do you believe inspired you to take this path?

Harshita: “With a passion for films, I always wanted to do something in that realm. While studying and working in advertising, I realised my mind and passion truly lie in this field. Over time, through interactions with various clients, I recognised that the future of content creation lies in video making, which became the cornerstone of my business model.

I ventured into business just before turning 25.“

The USP

What sets Content Foundry apart is their commitment to operational excellence and innovation. They operate 24/7 with robust processes and meticulously planned Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each project, ensuring efficiency, quality, and speed.

This approach allows them to deliver high-quality content quickly, tailored precisely to their clients’ unique needs. Content Foundry doesn’t just create content; they craft experiences that resonate deeply with audiences, fostering meaningful engagement.

Their focus on continuous improvement and staying ahead of industry trends ensures they deliver unparalleled value to their clients.

Challenges Faced

Content Foundry, under Harshita Adlakha’s leadership, navigated significant challenges since its inception. The transition to remote work amid the COVID-19 pandemic posed a hurdle in team building, requiring adaptation to new work norms and fostering cohesion despite physical distance.

Additionally, understanding the complexities of finance, government schemes, and legal frameworks initially presented challenges, prompting Harshita to seek expert guidance and educational workshops to strengthen her grasp of these critical areas.

Despite these obstacles, Content Foundry embraced a growth mindset, viewing setbacks as opportunities for improvement. They refined their operational processes through meticulous analysis, optimising efficiency by eliminating non-essential elements. Cultivating resilience became a cornerstone, enabling them to persevere through adversity and maintain focus on achieving their goals.

Despite the challenges, Harshita notes,

“We made it a point to acknowledge our achievements along the way. Taking breaks, watching movies, and going on vacations helped us recharge and maintain a positive outlook. The challenges we faced taught us invaluable lessons. Remember, don’t let failure define you; let it refine you.”

Celebrating Feats

Till now, the company has achieved significant milestones:

Revenue Boost: They have successfully helped clients increase their revenue by an impressive 40% since its establishment.

Client Portfolio: Content Foundry boasts a diverse portfolio, collaborating with both established companies and innovative startups to craft compelling video narratives.

Operational Efficiency: They have achieved faster turnaround times and higher operational efficiency, distinguishing themselves in the competitive market.

Upcoming IP Launch: They are preparing to launch their own Intellectual Property (IP), aimed at expanding their market presence domestically and internationally.

Plans Ahead

“Our vision for Content Foundry is to transform it into a content powerhouse—a factory that operates 24/7.“

Content Foundry has ambitious plans for the future. Their goal is to operate Content Foundry round-the-clock to meet global client demands. They plan to achieve this by refining processes, investing in technology, and expanding their team across various time zones.

They are also preparing to introduce their own Intellectual Property (IP) designed to appeal to both domestic and international markets. Leveraging their expertise in content creation and market insights, they aim to create a unique and impactful IP.

Moreover, Content Foundry plans to launch a podcast on their anniversary, focusing on insights, stories, and expert advice in content creation, advertising, and entrepreneurship. This initiative aims to establish them as thought leaders in the industry and connect with a broader audience. She adds,

“We are confident that we can achieve these goals and take Content Foundry to new heights.”

Major Takeaways

Harshita has learned a lot along the way. She emphasises the importance of implementing robust systems over processes, which has significantly enhanced operational efficiency and success.

Additionally, she advocates for hiring talented individuals who challenge and inspire, recognising their crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous growth and innovation within the company.

Lastly, she notes,

“Focus on building strong systems, and don’t be afraid to bring in expertise that exceeds your own. Embrace learning from every failure and let it fuel your growth. Success is a collective effort, and the right team and systems will propel you forward.”
