An Inside Look at How Siddharthreddy Jhampa Is Turning Climate Risk Into Strategic Action for Companies

“Integrating sustainability into everyday business decisions.”

30 Under 30 nominee Siddharthreddy Jhampa is the co-founder of TRINNOVA ESG Consultants, a sustainability and ESG advisory firm that works with organisations to integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance considerations into core business strategy.

With an MSc in Sustainable Design from the National University of Singapore, he also holds a Master’s degree in Sustainability and Business Transformation from IE Business School in Spain. His work across Asia and Europe has shaped his approach to sustainability as a business function, which he now implements in his current venture.

At TRINNOVA, the focus is on making ESG practical and executable. The vision is to help organisations embed sustainability into decision-making, operations, and long-term growth planning in a way that aligns with real business systems.

Getting Started

In an exclusive interview with Entrepreneurs Today, he talks about his initial inspiration. He shares,

“The idea for TRINNOVA came from a gap I repeatedly observed during my academic and professional journey. Sustainability and ESG were being discussed widely, but often in isolation from how businesses make decisions.”

At NUS, he learned systems thinking and environmental stewardship, while at IE Business School, he studied how organisations transform, manage risk and scale change. He reveals that the combination of both convinced him that climate action must be embedded in business, not imposed from outside. That conviction led him to co-found TRINNOVA with Dr Bhagyashri Jadhav.

“Both of us share the belief that ESG needs to be practical, measurable, and grounded in business reality. We started by working closely with early clients, listening carefully to their constraints and priorities, and building ESG approaches they could realistically adopt.”

A Competitive Edge

What sets TRINNOVA apart is its insistence that ESG should not sit on the sidelines as a reporting or compliance exercise. Instead, it should be seen through the lens of something that can support better business outcomes.

What’s different is that rather than limiting its work to disclosures and frameworks, TRINNOVA engages directly with leadership teams across strategy, governance, climate action, and performance measurement. Each engagement is deliberately contextual, shaped by the organisation’s sector, stage of maturity, and real operating constraints. He asserts.

“This approach helps organisations move away from checkbox sustainability and towards more thoughtful, integrated practices that support both climate responsibility and long-term business performance.”

The Journey

One of the challenges Siddharthreddy faced was working in a nascent, often-misunderstood field. ESG was widely seen as a regulatory burden rather than a business lever, so TRINNOVA had to make it relevant to everyday operations.

“Early on, we realised ESG would only gain acceptance if it aligned with how businesses already function. To address this, we began collaborating with business consultants, tax advisors, and allied professional service firms, partnering with them to offer ESG solutions that were grounded in financial, operational, and governance realities.”

What truly helped was grounding ESG in business reality and listening closely to clients, partnering with allied professionals, and aligning sustainability goals with financial and operational priorities. Siddharthreddy says,

“At TRINNOVA, we recognise that climate change is an inevitable challenge, but we also believe that shutting down or slowing business activity is not a viable solution. Real change comes from integrating sustainability into everyday decision-making, without compromising business viability.”

Their key successes include supporting organisations in building practical ESG strategies, strengthening sustainability disclosures, and addressing climate-related risks through decarbonisation planning and green-building initiatives. He is also proud of the mindset shift TRINNOVA has enabled, moving clients away from checkbox compliance toward a deeper understanding of risk, opportunity, and responsibility, where sustainability becomes an integral part of how business choices are made.

A New Dawn

Looking ahead, Siddharthreddy’s focus is on building TRINNOVA into a globally respected ESG consulting company that helps organisations navigate sustainability in a realistic, business-aligned way.

Having studied and worked across multiple regions, Siddharthreddy recognises that while ESG expectations differ from market to market, the core challenge is balancing growth with responsibility. He highlights,

“We aim to support organisations in adopting ESG practices that are globally aligned but locally relevant. We plan to achieve this by expanding partnerships, investing in ESG innovation, and continuing to build practical thought leadership that connects sustainability with real business decisions.”

Through his journey so far, Siddharthreddy has learned that meaningful change takes time. He also believes that in certain domains like sustainability and climate action, awareness takes time, and credibility is built through patience, consistency, and thoughtful execution. Lastly, he signs off with a note for budding entrepreneurs, saying,

“Focus on solving real problems, stay grounded, and keep learning. If your work creates value for both business and society, growth and credibility will follow naturally.”
