“I believe every entrepreneur must remain committed to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction while embracing change and growth; that’s how one can succeed in their ventures.”
Having a vision to build a company is not enough, and Jatin Kapoor talks about the other essential qualities an entrepreneur must have if they truly want to build something meaningful.
Jatin Kapoor is the founder of Mantra Homes. Built in 2012, Jatin had always dreamt of creating ideal spaces that would seamlessly blend aesthetics with functionality. Known for developing a distinctive interior style, they make sure that every design element serves a purpose while focusing on overall ambiance as well. Today, they are operating out of Delhi with a 60,000 sq. ft. factory and continuing to provide employment to over 250 skilled craftsmen. Speaking of the driving force that led Jatin to build Mantra Homes, he says,
“The inspiration behind Mantra Homes was to craft spaces that integrate both beauty and practicality. The company began with a focus on designing interiors where form meets function, evolving over time to offer bespoke furniture and turnkey interior solutions tailored to residential and hospitality projects.”
A Competitive Edge
While it is a known fact that the market is saturated, Mantra Homes has been able to stay on top of their game for over a decade with their prestigious residential and hospitality projects. Mantra Homes is usually sought after by those looking for a mixture of artisanal craftsmanship with modern technology.
Moreover, they also make sure to provide bespoke furniture and interiors that are tailored to the unique needs of the clients.
Troubled Waters
There have been numerous challenges along the way that Jatin and Mantra Homes had to overcome. There were more troubles when it came to research and experimentation with materials and technological solutions.
Mantra Homes also had to enhance their value proposition by curating designs that are tailor-made according to client needs, which proved to be a daunting task as they had to invest in skilled artisans and modern production techniques to uphold strict quality standards.
Major Wins
Despite the numerous challenges they faced, there have been significant wins as well. Jatin is quite proud of the fact that Mantra Homes has been able to expand their small team to over 250 skilled craftsmen in their 60,000 sq. ft. factory. Their portfolio now includes high-end restaurants, hotels, and luxury homes for renowned industrialists and HNIs. In addition, they have recently opened their first studio, spanning 20,000 sq. ft., on MG Road in New Delhi.
Some of the prestigious projects they have worked on have helped them build a decade-long reputation for delivering comprehensive space solutions that go from initial conceptualisation to final installation.
What’s Next?
“We believe in continuously innovating to offer unique and personalised design solutions.”
The next few years for Mantra Homes will be all about refining and expanding their bespoke furniture and interior solutions. Apart from investing in material sustainability and market expansion, Jatin shares,
“We also look forward to strengthening our brand identity through design innovation and high-quality craftsmanship.”
Jatin’s journey with Mantra Homes has been quite successful. One of the major takeaways from the journey has been to learn how to balance form and function in design while maintaining craftsmanship and modern technology.
